About
AASA
The
African-American Student Association (AASA), a political and
educational association, is an organization dedicated to providing
enriching experiences, educating and enlightening the campus
and community about the history and significance of African-American
heritage and culture and assuring the continuing development
of a progressive environment which is conducive to students
in their quest to obtain a quality and meaningful education.

Founded in
1971, the AASA is the oldest group established to address the needs and
concerns of Middle Tennessee State University's (MTSU) African-American
community. The AASA boasts a university-wide membership that makes it
the largest student organization on campus. The AASA offers a vast array
of services to the MTSU community:
