The Association of Graduate Students in History (AGSH) at Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) was founded in 1995 to promote social and educational opportunities among the graduate students in the history department. Since its founding, the AGSH has grown in numbers and participation every year. The purpose of the Association of Graduate Students in History is four-fold:
However, the AGSH cannot exist without your participation. There are weekly events to help you, the MTSU history graduate student, have a more fulfilling and more fun graduate career. What is required of you as a member of AGSH? Simply your participation, and dues of $5 a semester. It's easy, it's fun, and it's cheap...and it can be rewarding. This is the place for professional networking among your fellow students, professional training through workshops and field trips, and just good 'ole socializing. For more information, ask one of the officers. AGSH Officers 2003-2004:
Attention New History Graduate Students at MTSU! Did you know that you have a mailbox in the history department? If not, check it now! Graduate mailboxes are located in the well across from the main office of the history department on the second floor of Peck Hall. Go in the well, turn right, turn left. They are on the wall next to Dr. Leone's office, and across from Dr. Hunt's office. This is a primary means of communication for both professors and graduate students. Did you know that history graduate students have an e-mail listserve at MTSU? “Hgrad-l” is not moderated, free of professors, and provides a forum for history graduate students to praise, complain, or have your voice heard. We will get you set up to the "hgrad-l" list serve, if you would like. Or, if you have e-mail with another provider, send a message to listproc@frank.mtsu.edu to subscribe to the AGSH list serve. Remember to leave the subject line blank, and just put "subscribe hgrad-l (your name)" in the body of the message. Home | About AGSH | Events | Pictures | Links |
