Chance Phelps
Chance is a senior Mathematics major with an emphasis in
Actuarial Science and a minor in Insurance. He is a member of Pi
Mu Epsilon and Gamma Iota Sigma. He has won three scholarships
through the Chair of Insurance and had an internship with
Nationwide Insurance in the Spring semester of 2005. He is
currently interning as an actuarial student at Caterpillar
Insuarance Service in Nashville, TN. He has
recently received the StepMT Research Assistantship Grant for
research with Dr. Don Hong studying Medical
Data Analysis and Survival Models with Applications for cancer
patients.

Andy Hill
Andy is a Graduate Mathematics major with an emphasis in Actuarial
Science. He received a BS in Agriculture and Applied Economics
and a BBA in Business at Texas Tech University in December 1999.
While attending MTSU, he was awarded The National Science Foundation
Scholarship and was a graduate teaching assistant.

Zol Hooper
Zol is a senior Mathematics major with Actuarial Science
concentration. He has minors in Chemistry and Insurance. He is
a member of Gamma Iota Sigma, Pi Mu Epsilon, and the National
Society of Collegiate Scholars. He has received numerous
scholarships, including the Presidential National Achievement,
Martin Luther King, Jr., Martin Chair of Insurance, and Miss
Tommie Reynolds mathematics scholarship. He is currently
working with Dr. Eff on “Social Mobility in the United States as
a Markov Process.” He plans to graduate in May 2007.

Matt Beech
Matt is a Mathematics major with an emphasis in Actuarial Science,
and he has an Insurance minor. He won a scholarship through the
Chair of Insurance and he had an internship with Caterpillar
Financial in the summer of '06.
