Student Activity Fee Allocation Survey

In keeping with the mission of the Division of Student Affairs, the Office of Leadership & Service is asking organizational leaders to help us understand the needs and level of satisfaction with the Student Activity Fee process. Please respond to the items below as accurately and candidly as possible. Thank you for your assistance in helping us to better understand and serve our student organizations.

Please mark the choice that most closely matches your organization.

1. What is the name of your organization?

2. The Student Activity Fee (SAF) current process is to allocate funds on a reimbursement basis for approved projects consistent with the Student Activity Fee guidelines. What other alternatives to reimbursement would better serve your organizational needs?

Please be as specific as possible.

3. Currently the Office of Leadership & Service identifies the Student Activity Fee application deadlines for student organizations. The Student Activity Fee funds are allocated three (3) times each year: deadline for Fall is the third (3rd) week of school; deadline for Spring is the first week of December; and the deadline for Summer/Early Fall is middle of April. How could the SAF distribution be handled differently to better meet your organization needs?

Please be as specific as possible.

4. How does your organization supplement the difference between Student Activity Fee award and actual expenses? For example, if your organization was awarded $1000 to attend a conference, but it actually will cost $1500 to attend, how does your organization fund the extra $500.
