Employment
Campus Recreation is always looking for capable, confident students of character who are seeking not only a job, but also a place to learn, lead, and grow. Campus Recreation has several distinct departments that provide a variety in job duties (click here), as well as scheduling flexibility, including early mornings, nights, and weekends. Some departments require specific student positions to be American Red Cross CPR/AED/First Aid certified within 30 days of hire date. Contact Lisa Eddy (leddy@mtsu.edu) at (615) 898-2104 or each department contact for more information about positions. You may fill out an application in our office Mondays thru Fridays between 7:30 a.m.-5 p.m. or complete the downloadable application and return it to the Campus Recreation office.
Internship and Practicum opportunities are also available through each department. To be considered for one of these positions, you should first speak with the department contact about your specific interests. Some paid positions do exist but that varies by each department and its needs (click here).
Service Scholarship students may also complete their required hours here. If you would like to be considered for a position with Campus Recreation to fulfill your hours, fill out an application listing three departments (1st, 2nd, 3rd) you are interested in working. The individual departments and a general description of the positions offered can be found by clicking here. (Please be aware that submitting an application is not a guarantee of placement with Campus Recreation).
