Faculty and Staff Wellness Program
Spring 2010
Cost: $150
This fitness program is open to MTSU faculty and staff only.
Sign-up in the Campus Recreation Office before January 29, 2010
Provided:
- Beginning and Ending Fitness Assessments
Includes Body Fat Analysis, Weigh & Measure, Upper & Lower Body Strength Test, and Cardio Test.
- Weekly Training with a Personal Trainer
You must cancel a session 24 hours in advance to be eligible to reschedule or make-up the session. - Group Fitness Punch Pass for 30 Classes
- Additional Sessions for $15 each
Fall Boot Camp 2009
The program provides beginning and ending fitness assessments, Monday-Friday
class workouts
and an option to attend either class or both. For more information, contact Jessica at 898-2104.
When: Tuesday, Sept. 8 - Friday, Oct. 16th
Time: Monday - Friday : 12:30 - 1:00, and 4:45 - 5:30
Where: Recreation Center, Downstairs Aerobics Room.
Cost: $70, Must Register by Sept. 4!

Half-Marathon Training Program
When: Sign-up By Sept. 11 th at 4:30 pm
Program: Sept. 12th - Dec. 5th, Running Meeting Every Saturday
Time: 9 am

Who: MTSU Students, Faculty, Staff, Recreation Members
Cost: $50 per person

- 12 weeks of Saturday morning group runs with a trainer
- Weekly schedule for advised running plan
Must be able to run 3 miles when starting
Couch to 5K Program
Sept. 12 - October 24

Running Meeting Every Saturday
Many people have been turned off of running because they started off too fast causing their bodies to rebel and become hurt. This running program allows you to ease yourself into running by gradually working up to a 5k distance over a 6 week time period.
Time: 9 am
Where: Student Recreation Center
Who: MTSU Students, Faculty, Staff, Recreation Members
Cost: $25 per person

- Saturday morning group runs with a trainer
- Weekly schedule for advised running plan
- Group Run: New Frontiers BBQ 5k Oct 17, and Have a Nice Day 5k Oct 31 (additional registration will be required)
Study Session
Campus Recreation is hosting a 12-week study program for those seeking certifications for personal training or group fitness.
Sept. 8th - Dec. 4th
Mon. @ 6pm or Tues. @ 10am or Fri. @ 3pm
This program is designed to help prepare you for the ACE or SCW personal training or group fitness certifications. However, there is not a certification test associated with this program and all study materials must be purchased by the participants. If you are interested, you must register by Sept. 4th at the Campus Recreation office. There is a $50 registration fee.
Nutritional Coaching
Eating right helps you maintain a healthy weight and reduces the risk of chronic diseases such as heart disease, high blood pressure, some types of cancer, and type 2 diabetes. Your Nutrition Coach will help you develop an enjoyable, sustainable personal eating plan suited to your lifestyle.
Sign up for your session in the Campus Recreation Office.
Each session is $15.

Aerobics
Come and participate in any of our aerobics classes. All aerobic classes are $1. An aerobic punch card can be purchased for $20 (26 visits). Call Jerry Langham at 898-2104 for more information.
