ECON 7120 - Microeconomics II

This course explores some advanced topics in microeconomic theory. These topics include oligopoly behavior, game theory, general equilibrium analysis, Pareto optimality, public goods, externalities, information economics, and Bayesian equilibrium. Throughout the course, we will survey relevant articles from the economics literature to see how microeconomic theory is applied to empirical research. This will show the importance of theoretical modeling and will also illustrate how graduate students can apply the theory to their dissertation.
