MTSU Library: Interlibrary Loan (ILL) Information Page

Once you've found out what is "out there" on your topic, you have to find some way to get it here. The vast majority of the references that most of you locate on your chosen topic will not be available in our library. ILL is a service through which materials not available in the MTSU Library may be obtained from other libraries. This service will allow you to get your hands on most references in three to four weeks (sometimes more, rarely less). Time is of the essence -- don't delay!

A fairly well-organized, very large collection of on-line resources.

Article First (via MTSU library web site) This is a limited resource that will give you some idea of how "popular" your topic is, and how much research is available from mainstream science journals.

Free access to very recent GEOREF references These are from very recent publications (< 6 months old) that have not yet been added to the GEOREF CD-ROM database. The citations are available free of charge. Brought to you courtesy of the kind folks at the American Geological Institute.

USGS Publications Database

Some students may find that the United States Geological Survey is a good source for publications on their topic. This is an excellent search engine for USGS publications. It is compiled from the complete GEOREF database and is free to on-line users.
