One Irishman's Impact on
Frontier Tennessee

In the frontier history of Tennessee and Sumner County, many men and women are known for their courage, persistence, and contributions.  The Irish partriarch of one pioneer family, Hugh Rogan, is remembered  for his bravery, his  two-hundred year old stone house, the community named for him, and his religious beliefs.
