Atlantic Crossing addresses my own feelings about the Atlantic Ocean, which separates the continent where I live from the continent where I was born and grew up. The sense of peril is palpable, and the inset map of home, terra firma, which is on every seafarer's mind. While we explot the seas for our own purposes we remain vulnerable to their very nature.
