Ph.D.
Dr.
Littlepage is a Professor of Psychology at Middle Tennessee
State University (MTSU). He received his Ph.D. in social
psychology from Kansas State University in 1976. He
specializes in the study of work groups, specifically
in issues relating to effective group processes and
group performance. He teaches undergraduate and graduate
level courses on work groups, group dynamics and social
psychology. He is a nationally recognized expert in
this area. His research accomplishments include over
100 research publications, professional research presentations,
and technical reports. He was also awarded the MTSU
Distinguished Research Award.
He
has published in the leading professional journals and
is frequently cited in books and articles dealing with
group performance. He has reviewed articles for the
journal, Group Dynamics, and the Journal
of Personality and Social Psychology among other
leading journals. He is currently associate editor for
Group Dynamics and has served on the editorial
board of the Journal of Personality and
Social Psychology. He was also co-director
for the Group Division Program of the 2000 American
Psychological Association (APA) convention.
Dr.
Littlepage has conducted applied research and training
for various organizations. These activities focused
on a number of group related issues such as group performance,
effective group processes, teamwork, and leadership.
He is knowledgeable in a variety of advanced statistical
techniques. His consulting interests include applied
research, team assessment and development, and leadership.
