Description

 

 

The tutorial will introduce participants to the Database Courseware developed as a result of NSF-CCLI grant number 0089412. This software is accessible at http://coffee.kennesaw.edu. It has been presented at regional, national and international conferences and is currently being tested at ten different universities. Participants will be presented to the Animations and alternative methods of integrating this software in a classroom environment. Feedback on the animations, sample tests as well as suggestions for new animations will be discussed. Links to popular Database sites will be presented (briefly).  This workshop will be divided into three hours by topic. Database Design, SQL, Concurrency and Recovery.

 

Pre-requisites / audience

This workshop is primarily directed for anyone teaching Database Management Systems (either an introductory course or an advanced one). However, anyone with   knowledge of one programming language will be able to participate.
