Important Dates for 12S

Please refer to the following academic calendar for Spring 2012:

SPRING 2012 CALENDAR – DEADLINES/IMPORTANT DATES

January 12 - Classes begin
                 – Beginning January 12th, students who drop a class or withdraw completely will get a 75% fee adjustment (not 100%) for tuition & No Grade will be given. (Note: 75% fee adjustment goes thru January 25th)

                     · Any student who currently has Financial Aid (898-2830) or Housing (898-2971) and is dropping below full time or withdrawing completely should contact those offices to understand how their actions will affect their status. Please make it clear to students that they could potentially owe a balance to MTSU and are highly encouraged to contact the Financial Aid Office if they have any type of aid for the Spring 2012 semester.

                    · At this point in the semester, all drops and withdrawals can be done via RaiderNet on the Add or Drop classes screen. Students taking prescribed courses who want to do a complete withdrawal should drop all classes except the prescribed course(s) on RaiderNet and then contact:

January 16 – Martin Luther King Holiday-no classes
January 18 - Deadline for students to register or add a class on RaiderNet.
January 19 - A drop/add form is required to add a class for students with a class schedule (full term/RODP). A Request for Late Registration form is required if the student does not have a class schedule. Fee Payment deadline (6:00 p.m. on RaiderNet).
January 25 - Deadline to drop a course without a grade (full term/RODP)
January 26 – Students who drop a course receive grade of “W” (full term/RODP)
January 27 – Online assignment

February 17, 20, 22, 24 – Substitute. At least one unit test. Good luck.

March 5-11 – Spring Break – no classes; Midterm exams should be scheduled either before students leave for break or soon after their return.
March 23 - Deadline to drop a course with a grade of "W" (full term course)
March 26 - Unofficial Withdrawal Rosters available on RaiderNet (full term)

April 2 - Deadline to complete Unofficial Withdrawal Rosters on RaiderNet
April 2-13 Priority registration for Summer and Fall 2012
April 13 – Group meeting day to plan for presentations.
April 20 – Last day to withdraw from the University (all classes) and receive “W” or “F” as determined by the instructor.
April 25 - Last day of classes
April 26 - Study Day (no classes)
April 27 – May 7 Grading available online. Grades due 9:00 a.m. on May 7.
April 27-May 3 - Final exams


May 5 – Graduation
9:00 a.m. ceremony: Colleges of Graduate Studies, Business, Education and Mass Communication
2:00 p.m. ceremony: Colleges of Basic and Applied Sciences, University College, Liberal Arts, and Behavioral and Health Sciences
May 7 - Final grades for Spring 2011 are due to be completed online by 9:00 a.m.


May 14 – Summer 2012 Classes Begin


August 25 –Fall 2012 Classes Begin

{Final exam for Dr. O's MATH 1710K classes will be as scheduled (Final Exams for Dr. O's classes ). Make plans to arrive 15 minutes early for your final exam.
Bring the following items with you: 
1. Scantron # 4521 answer sheet (large, blue; buy at bookstore; print name, last, first, and leave remainder blank; you may bring this to me anytime during the semester and I will hold it for you),
2. #2 lead pencil,
3. graphing calculator (see syllabus),
4. 3 X 5 inch notecard, filled out.
I will provide scratch paper (to be taken up after exam), exams, and directions for filling out answer sheet information. I WILL NOT bring extra answer sheets.}
