- MTSU
School
of Music offers
attractive scholarship packages which are available to all qualified
music
majors and minors.
- Scholarships
are also available
for talented students who wish to participate in ensembles.
- The MTSU
Music program prides
itself on quality personal interaction between teacher and
student.
Three scholarship audition days are planned each year in order to
accomodate the student's schedule. The playing portion of an audition
will
last around 10-15 minutes and will take place with the members of the
MTSU
Woodwind Faculty. Other events are scheduled throughout the day
to
inform students and parents about MTSU's music program.
- MTSU's 2011
Scholarship
Audition days are Friday, January 27th, Saturday, February 18th, and
Saturday, February 25th, 2012.

- ALL
STUDENTS,
major or minors,
must audition for acceptance into the MTSU School of Music and for
scholarship
award considerations.
- All
non-majors, who are interested
in scholarships for participation in ensembles at MTSU, are also
required
to audition.
- On campus
auditions on our
pre-set scholarship audition days are preferred because they provide a
chance for the MTSU faculty members to meet the student which will give
the student a better idea of the teacher(s) with whom he/she will work
with as well as a chance to view the university facilities. Flute
auditions
may be pre-recorded and sent by mail or scheduled on an alternate date
only upon agreement between the instructor and student.
