Melissa Gensler

Melissa Gensler is a graduate student at Middle Tennessee State University. While an undergraduate at Western Kentucky University, she served as Co-Principal Flutist for the Western Kentucky University Wind Ensemble and the Bowling Green-Western Symphony Orchestra, with whom she appeared as a soloist in 2009. She has been selected twice to perform with the Kentucky Intercollegiate Orchestra. Melissa was the first undergraduate to present research at the Flute Society of Kentucky Festival in 2010, where she also performs solo. Melissa is a member of sonyq, an experimental electric flute and guitar duo, and their first solo album is due to release September 2010. She is a member of Pi Kappa Lambda (National Music Honor Society), the National Flute Association, Flute Society of Kentucky, and Delta Omicron, a professional music fraternity. She has participated in master classes with Michel Debost, Keith Underwood, Mary Kay Fink, and abroad with Rhonda Larson in Italy. Melissa has studied with Heidi Pintner Alvarez and Deanna Little.

Steven Keith is a Flute performance Graduate student at MTSU. He is from chattanooga Tennessee and Graduated from Chattanooga School for the Arts and Sciences. He received his B.A. in Music from Jacksonville State University. Not only does he play flute, but also oboe, guitar and bass. He has studied with Janet Hale, Sherry Hoff, James Carruth, Victoria Delano, Kelly Crots and the late Dr. Jeryll Davis.  His future goals include finishing his masters in performance while also receiving advanced degrees in Conducting, Musicology and  woodwind studies.
Kallie Rogers

Kallie Rogers is currently in her first year of graduate study at Middle Tennessee State University pursuing a Master’s degree in flute performance.  In May 2010, she received her Bachelor’s degree in instrumental music education from Western Kentucky University, graduating Magna Cum Laude.  In the summer of 2010, she was employed as a counselor and flute sectional teacher at the Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp in Twin Lake, Michigan, and during the summer of 2009, she traveled to Sayalonga, Spain to participate in a flute course by contemporary Dutch flutist, Wil Offermans. She is a member of the Flute Society of Kentucky, Midsouth Flute Society, and the National Flute Association.
