TITLE PAGE AND ENVELOPE

All essays must have a title page. You may use either the telecourse title page or type your own title page.  If you type your own, follow the format outlined in the Instructions for Presenting Essays and copied below:

"The title page should have the essay titled CENTERED and your name and course information (English 2000-XX/Essay #) on the bottom right-hand side. The essay title should not be underlined, italicized, put in boldface or quotations marks. (Parts of the title that are the title of story, play or poem should be italicized or put in quotes as appropriate.)"

Even if you are not mailing the essay, the essay should be submitted inside an envelope (not a plastic or cardboard cover) which will have my name (Dr. Elvira Casal) and department (English) clearly written on it. This is especially important if you end up sliding the paper under a door. (Note: If you slide it under a door, it may never get to me. But  it has a better chance of getting to me if you include a clearly labeled envelope.)

Where to Submit:

If you mail the essay, the address will be:

Dr. Elvira Casal
English Department, Box 70
Middle Tennessee State University
Murfreesboro, TN 37132

If you  bring it to my office, go to PH 340 and place the essay in the bin outside the door. Make sure to use the outer bin (labeled "Submit work") rather than the inner bin with copies of handouts. Or you can take it to PH 303 and leave it in the mailbox that has my name.

For instructions about submitting to the Telecourse Office, phone: (615) 494-8909 or stop by KOM 126.
