Miriam Thaggert, Assistant Professor of English
University of Tennessee at Knoxville

Dr. Thaggert received her B.A. from Harvard University and her Ph.D. from the University of California at Berkley. Her research interests include African American Literature and Culture, Modernism, and Visual Culture. She is the author of “Racial Etiquette: Nella Larsen's Passing and the Rhinelander Case,” “Divided Images: Black Female Spectatorship and John Stahl's Imitation of Life,” and “Reliving Memories: Evaluating History in Anita Desai's Clear Light of Day.”
