Mary View-Schneider

Mary View-Schneider, MA Ed, is the Program Specialist for the Program for Integrated School and Community Services (PISCS). Ms. View-Schneider is "on loan" from Los Angeles Unified School District, where she worked first as a early childhood education teacher, then as a lead teacher in curriculum and instruction, and for three years as the Learning Support Lead and Family Center Director at Elizabeth Learning Center (ELC).

Ms. View-Schneider was directly involved in refining the Learning Support Component design and working with two large urban schools (K-12th grade schools with approximately 2,500 students each) for start up and implementation of the Learning Support Component. She helped to implement or increase the community outreach, adult education, and early childhood education at ELC. As part of her work at PISCS,

Ms. View-Schneider is assisting other schools and school districts to develop community partnerships and to create mechanisms to integrate school-based and community-based services for a comprehensive approach to social service and health care delivery for students and families.
