Jeanette
Laws
Ms. Laws was
born in Providence, Rhode Island. Even as a child she was a "people
person" with instilled family values. She spent much of her
childhood and young adulthood with older people.
Her career has
always been people-oriented through her involvement in a hospital,
Pentagon JAG, Illinois Guardianship and the Advocacy Commission
(mentally challenged). She has taken a leave of these positions
to spend two years giving home care to terminally ill seniors.
Ms. Laws has
organized youth groups in Boston, Providence; Queens, NY; Washington,
DC; and Champaign, IL. She has also worked with inmates in Illinois
state and federal prisons on weekends for 12 years, and is presently
serving with Storefront School (alternative high school for at-risk
teens ages 16-21).
Jeanette Laws
is from a family of seven children. Her mother and father are deceased,
but they left a legacy that has prepared her for her most prestigious
career - her role as a Mother!! Ms. Laws has four children: three
adopted children and one foster (hopefully adopted) child.
"My love
of people has brought me to where I am today
the GREATEST INVESTMENT
I EVER MADE!!!"
