Dellmar Walker

Dr. Walker holds the rank of Professor and is serving as the Interim Chair of the Department of Human Sciences at Middle Tennessee State University. She earned the B.S. degree in Nutrition and Food Science from MTSU and M.S. in Clinical Nutrition at the University of Kentucky School of Allied Health Professions. In 1986, she completed the Ph.D. in Nutrition Science from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.

She has been on faculty at MTSU since 1978 in the Nutrition and Food Science program. Previous experiences include Pedodontic Nutritionist and Renal and Transplant Dietitian at the University of Kentucky Medical Center.

Dr. Walker is active in several professional organizations at the local, state and national level. She has served as President of the Nashville District Dietetic Association and was selected as the Outstanding Dietitian in 1989. She has been recently elected to national office with the Commission on Accreditation for Dietetic Education and serves nationally as a site visitor for accreditation of university programs.
