Our next meeting will be this Wednesday at 6:30pm in Peck Hall room 220. We will hold elections for new officers for the 2004/2005 school term. Also there will be a very important announcement.

Just a reminder, we have a meeting tomorrow at 6:30pm in Peck Hall room 220. This is our regular meeting time, but we will have a guest speaker, Zachary Miner, from Center for Inquiry on campus.

We will be having a meeting THIS WEDNESDAY (March 31st) at 6:30pm in PH 220. Refreshments will be provided. Also, we will be electing new officers in the next few weeks.

Here are some announcements from our president, Amanda Cotten:
As I'm sure you all are aware, we are scheduled to have a meeting this Wednesday. That meeting has been canceled. Our next meeting will be the Wednesday after Spring Break -- March 31st.
I want to thank everyone for their involvement in our Intelligent Design talk. We had a very lively discussion as well as a good turn-out. I think it went fantastic. Much thanks to Mat Pauley and Dr. Pigliucci.
Rev. Barry Lynn will be coming to Nashville to speak on March 28th. Rev. Lynn is the director of Americans United. Email me (Amandakay1116@hotmail.com) for more info. There will be a lunch before his talk, but reservations are required. The due date for those are this Friday (March 19th). The talk itself is free and open to the public.
John Ferguson is coming April 7th to speak at MTSU. More deails will be available at the next meeting (March 31st).
Again, thanks to all who helped.I look forward to seeing you after Spring Break.

Last night, Massimo Pigliucci spoke about four reasons why intelligent design is not science. Photos from his talk will be placed on the photo section soon. Next week's meeting will be on Wednesday, March 17th in Peck Hall room 220 starting at 6:30 pm.

Here is the agenda for this week's meeting (this WEDNESDAY, March 3 at 6:30pm in PH Room 220. This meeting will be FULL, please try to attend.
First, Bobby Bush is coming to speak to about the future of the SGA (Student Government Association) at MTSU.
Second, those who are going to the talk tomorrow night will report on the status of the Vandy group.
Third, details pertaining to Massimo Pigliucci's talk (Wednesday, March 10th at 7pm in the BAS State Farm Lecture Hall) will be planned and finalized).
Finally, if time permits, there will be an encore presentation of "Are Flying Saucers Real?"!! The videos are IN!!! Copies can be purchased for only $10!

On Tuesday, March 2 at 6:30pm, Charles Sumner will be presenting a talk for the Vanderbilt Civil Liberties student group.
On Wednesday, March 3rd at 6:30pm we have our regular meeting in PH Room 220. This meeting will be used to plan for the upcoming QUIZ BOWL and Massimo Pgliucci's talk.
On Thursday March 4th at 7pm in Tucker Theater, Ideas and Issues is bringing Tom Osborne to campus and have offered to have us set up an informational table in the lobby. Mr. Osborne's talk is titled "Still No Weapons of Mass Destruction: Preemptive Failures of the Past".
On Wednesday, March 10th at 7pm Massimo Pigliucci is coming to MTSU in the BAS State Farm Lecture Hall. This will be one of our big important events this semester and we are REALLY looking forward to it. His talk will be titled "Four More Reasons Why Intelligent Design is Not Science."
All events and occurences are free and open to the public, so come and bring friends!!

The photo section has been added with pictures from the UFO debate. The next meeting (Wednesday, February 18th at 6:30pm in PH 220) will be the annual Darwin Day celebration. Everyone is to bring an inexpensive gift (no more than $5) for the gift swapping part. There will be refreshments, games, and laughter.

Last night was the UFO debate between James McGaha and Stan Friedman. Photos from it will be posted soon. In the meantime, you can purchase tapes from the debate by email CFA ( freethnk@mtsu.edu ). Videotapes are only $10. Next week's meeting is Wednesday (February 4th ) in Peck Hall room 220.

At the last meeting, we discussed details about the upcoming debate. James McGaha and Stan Friedman will be debating January 28th at 7pm in the State Farm Lecture Hall located in the BAS. The title of the debate is "Are Flying Saucers Real?" It is free and open to the general public.

We've got a HUGE semester planned and I can't wait to get started!
First, we will have our first meeting of the semester Wednesday, January 21st at 6:30pm in PH 220. This is an important meeting as we will be discussing in depth the rest of the spring events.
On Wednesday, January 28th at 7pm in the State Farm Lecture Hall (BAS) we are having a debate between James McGaha and Stan Friedman titled "Are Flying Saucers Real?"
On Wednesday, February 18th at 6:30pm in PH 220 we will have our 2nd annual Darwin Day celebration. Presents, cake, and our custom-made Darwin tree.
On Wednesday, March 10th at 7pm in the State Farm Lecture Hall (BAS) Mossimo Pigliucci will present a talk on "Four More Reasons Why Intelligent Design is Not Science."
On Wednesday, April 7 at 7pm in the State Farm Lecture Hall (BAS) John Ferguson from the First Amendment Center in Nashville will present a talk.
And of course, every other Wednesday (start counting from 1/21/04) we will have our regularly scheduled meetings. So keep Wednesdays free!!!
