Gregory E. Givens
Assistant Professor of Economics
Department of Economics and Finance
Middle Tennessee State University

I am an assistant professor of economics in the Department of Economics and Finance at Middle Tennessee State University.  I received my Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill in 2005.  I teach undergraduate courses in macroeconomic principles and intermediate macroeconomics.  I also teach two graduate courses in advanced macroeconomic theory and monetary economics. Broadly speaking, my research interests include the application of dynamic stochastic general equilibrium analysis to issues in monetary economics.  In addition to my teaching and research responsibilities, I am also the director of our graduate programs in economics.

Among other things on this page, you will find links to my curriculum vita, my research papers with accompanying computer code, and classroom materials for my courses.  Below are some recent photos of me, my wife, Emily, and our son, Nathan.
