By: David Baird
Track 1 - Effective Integration of Technology into Teaching & Learning
Interest: General :: Lecture/Presentation :: Level: All

Abstract

Samples of student produced industrial video will be demonstrated. They include safety, process, and promotional pieces. Also included will be a tool and equipment list, with prices, used to create the videos.

Student production teams are required to produce videos for local industries. The finished videos are required to be 10-20 minutes in length.

Description

This presentation will showcase student produced videos for Dana Industries, Consolidated Plastics, Heartland Wood Products, and Alan Wire. These videos were produced with two video workstations and Adobie Premier non-linear video editing software.

Following this showing, a discussion will be held relative to the practices used to incorporate this technology into the overall curriculum of the program. Equipment lists with costs will be distributed.
