Title: MTSU and the Southern Regional Electronic Campus

Abstract: The Southern Regional Electronic Campus was established by the Southern Regional Education Board to promote online courses by its
universities. It offers a broad population of potential students, online research resources, and a network of testing centers.

Description: This presentation will use the SREC web site and MTSU's web site to illustrate what the SREC is and how it can benefit universities offering technology based courses. Participants will trace how a student can access information about a particular course, program, or university through the SREC. The presenter will lead participants through the process of applying to SREC and registering a course.

Length: 1 hour

Audience: faculty and administrators

Audience level: all

On-site equipment requirements: A Classroom with a computer and a
monitor for participant viewing, on the campus network to access the
WWW. Recommended sites: KOM 122 or KOM 126. Each holds
about 25.
