COURSE DESCRIPTIONS
All courses listed may be used to fulfill the General Mathematics Track requirements; Green numbers represent courses required for the Advanced Mathematics Track.
MATH 5700 Combinatorics and Graph Theory. Three credits. Prerequisite is MATH 2010 or MATH 3080. Introduction to counting techniques (permutations, combinations, generating functions) and graph theory. The course emphasises problem solving and algorithmic proof techniques.
MATH 6700 Adv. Combinatorics and Graph Theory. Three credits. Prerequisite is MATH 5700. This course continues the study of combinatorics and graph theory begun in MATH 5700. Course content is in part determined by the instructor.
