Hi Strange -

You are right, Kumar is primarily promotes Wu style these days, but Bruce is also right: Kumar did study with Yang Shaozhong, along with a number of other Yang teachers. I believe however that Kumar's main Yang style teacher was Lin Du Ying, also a student of Yang Cheng Fu. Kumar said at a retreat this summer that he believes Lin Du Ying was the best Yang stylist he had ever studied with.

Kumar still remains knowledgeable about Yang style. A few years ago, I attended Kumar's "Yang and Wu Style Body Mechanics" retreat. I am primarily a Yang stylist (though I have learned Kumar's Wu Short Form), and I learned more about Yang style that week than I did in a decade of practice. I'm still working through it all.

Gene is right too about the tape, the production quality is terrible (basically a "camcorder" video from about a decade ago), but it is an excellent tape for the information.

Also, back to the original question: There's a San Shou form tape by Lawrence Galante that I like. Check out his web site at http://www.holistic-arts.com

If memory serves, Master T.T. Liang and Stuart Olson had a sword tape that at least demo'ed a 2 person sword form. I watched the tape at one time, but I don't own it. Their website (Jade Forest) that listed it seems to have disappeared, and it's not listed in the Dragon Door (their current publisher)catalog at http://www.dragondoor.com. You might want to email them and see if they have any information.

Good luck,
Al S.
