I think the reason that he is revered so highly is his contribution ot Tai Chi in America, and for his putting in English many of the important and complex ideas behind Tai Chi. This is a contribution that few of us will ever make. It goes without saying that he was human. Why do you wish to denegrate him?

: I had the pleasure of spending time at the farm, taking classes with Master Jou and attending many workshops. I helped get the Farm ready for the festival and participated in work shops. Master Jou was an absolutly wonderful practicioner and teacher of Chen style. In my opinion he was a fair teacher of Yang Style, holdng back too much info. He had his personal faults and abuses like all of us. Lets take him off the pedastel and remember him or what he was, which should be plenty. He would want it that way.
