SCORING METHOD
(Get out your calculators)
Mark each reader’s rating for each title on an unused ballot and compute the scores in the following manner.
Sample Ballot:
x registers one voter's choice of score for the title.
For Cats Rule, two voters gave it a 1 and one voter gave it
a 3.
| Author | Title | 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | Score |
| 1.Bowser | My Kitty | . | . | . | . | x | x | 5.5 |
| 2.Buddy | Kit and Cat | x | x,x | . | . | . | . | 1.66 |
| 3.Fido | Cool Cats | . | x | x | x | x | . | 3.5 |
| 4.Fuzzy | Cats Rule | x,x | . | x | . | . | . | 1.66 |
Line 1 computations: 5 + 6 = 11divided by 2 = 5.5
[divisor is number of voters]
Line 2 computations: 1 + 2 + 2 = 5 divided by 3 = 1.66
Line 3 computations: 2 + 3 + 4 + 5 = 14 divided by 4 =
3.5
Line 4 computations: 1 + 1 + 3 = 5 divided by 4 = 1.66
Choose the 20 (25 for YA) titles with the lowest scores and they will comprise your list of titles from which to begin your discussions.
