Activate your MTSU Email account through MTMail

Before you can make an advising appointment you will need to activate your MTSU email account through our new email server: MTMail. Here are the steps to activate your new account.

1. Find your Pipeline username.

Your Pipeline username is a combination of your initials plus an additional number and letter. If you do not know your Pipeline username you may find it through this website: http://www.mtsu.edu/password_change.shtml. Click on "students." Follow the instructions and on the page where it prompts you to create a password your username will be bolded on top.

2. Find your student ID number - also known as a M#.

Your M# will be on any letters which you have received from MTSU. If you do not have access to those documents please log into Pipeline and click on the following links: RaiderNet, then Personal Information, then "What is my Student ID (aka M#)?"

3. Once you are logged into Pipeline, click on the yellow email icon.

• Click on the 'MTMail Login Page' link
• Enter your new Windows live ID username@mtmail.mtsu.edu and your M Number as your password and click the Sign in button.
  For example, Windows Live ID: zzz1z@mtmail.mtsu.edu Password: M00000000 (Use a capital M)
  

4. You'll be prompted to re-enter your current password and then to create a new password below.

Minimum password is 6 characters.

5. After activating you will need to sign back in to your account with your new password.

Click the Sign in to Windows Live and sign in.

If you don't check MTMail account on a regular basis you will miss out on important university information - this may be the only way we try to get a hold of you for information on financial aid, class schedules, or correspondence from your professors.
