Over 300 PCs are available for use in the Library. PCs are located on every floor.

Computers on the first floor

  • Research Purposes only, including:
    • Using Voyager, the Library's online catalog
    • Accessing the Research Gateway to search general and subject databases and electronic resources
    • Searching for additional resources on the Internet
    • Using email
  • Software includes Internet Explorer, Netscape, and other Library related programs
  • Scanner access on the computer "Wouk"
  • Printers are available from all computers in the Electronic Information Center

Computers on the second, third, and forth floors include access to various software programs and the Internet. Printing is available from any sit-down workstation.

Laptops

Library owned laptop computers are available for student use within the library. You may check them out at the Reserves Desk on the first floor.

The Library has network connections for laptops throughout the public reading areas. Using a laptop and any 10BaseT network card, you can access the campus network and the Internet using any of the several hundred data jacks in the building.

You may also use your own laptop in the Library. Instructions for configuring your personal laptop.


Adaptive Technology

The Adaptive Technology Center, located on the first floor of the library, offers access to hardware and software tools for students, faculty and staff with disabilities.
