Scribner Writers Series

Scribner Writers Series is now included in Literature Resource Center.
The Scribner Writers series, "long the gold standard for literary criticism" according to the American Library Association's Reference & User Services Quarterly (Vol. 38, No. 1), includes some 1,600 full-text articles on writers and literary genres drawn from thirteen acclaimed print sets. Each signed article was written by a noted scholar and concludes with a bibliography of primary and secondary sources for further study. Since the publication of the first volumes of AMERICAN WRITERS in 1974, the series has been a standard resource in academic, public, and senior high school libraries for use by students, teachers, scholars, librarians, and the general public.
