The Reference Area on the first floor of the library building, includes materials that provide factual information on almost every subject. You will find encyclopedias, dictionaries, indexes, biographical directories, and bibliographies.

Books shelved in the Reference Area have the letter "R" (for reference) above the call number lettered on the spine or front of the book. Reference books are used only in the library. Please return reference materials to the Reference Area when you have finished using them so that they will be available to other users. The Reference Desk is staffed by User Services Librarians during most library hours. If you have questions about any aspect of library research, please do not hesitate to ask at the Reference Desk or call the desk at 898-2817.
