Ronald E. McNair Post-Baccalaureate Achievement Program at
MTSU helps two groups of undergraduate students prepare for
and succeed in graduate school: (1) first-generation (neither
parent has a college degree) with financial need and (2) under-represented
(Black, Hispanic, American Indian/Alaskan native).
McNair provides $2800 annual stipend, GRE preparation, mentor-guided
research opportunities, travel money for conferences and for
graduate school visits. For more information, see Benefits

To qualify, you must be a member of one of the two groups
mentioned above, plus have a desire to earn a Ph.D. You must
also have 60 credit hours and an overall GPA of 3.0 or better.
