- Drew Butler, Debate Coach, Middle Tennessee State University.
Former MTSU debater and is a current Graduate Assistant. Coached 7th
speaker and had two teams clear at 2000 CEDA Nationals.
- Jeremy Hutchins, Director of Debate, Johnson County Community
College. Formerly at Wharton County Community College and Southern
Illinois University. Had a team clear at 2000 CEDA Nationals.
- Jeff Jarman, Director of Forensics, Wichita State
University. Former National CEDA Champion and coach of many teams into
elims at CEDA Nationals.
- Michael Korcok, Debate Coach, Florida
State University. Formerly at Cornell University, McNeese State
University, Southwest Missouri State University, and Kansas State
University. Was top seed at CEDA Nationals his senior year debating for
Southern Illinois University. Has coached many teams into late out rounds
at CEDA Nationals, and taught Glen Frappier how to persuade a light
switch.
- Michael Krueger, Director of Debate, Middle Tennessee State
University. Formerly at Northern Illinois University. Debated for Kansas
State University and was the winner of the Kenneth J. Lynch Award at Phi
Rho Pi while debating for Johnson County Community College. Coached teams
into elims at CEDA Nationals.
- Sue Lowrie, Debate Coach, Pepperdine University. Winner
of the 1999 Southern California region CEDA Critic of the Year Award.
CEDA All-American debater for Cal State-Chico (3 years). Sue also was a
double-and triple-octo-finalist at CEDA Nationals, NDT qualifier, and
debater of the year in CEDA West Region for two years. Before going to
Chico, Sue also debated a year and a half at the Junior College
level. Achievements there were silver in team policy and gold in LD
as well as the Bavarro award in LD at Phi Rho Pi. Coached teams into
elims at 2000 CEDA Nationals.
- Ben Osborne, Debate Coach, Middle Tennessee State University.
Nationally competative debater while at the University of
Alabama. Coached teams into elims at 2000 CEDA Nationals.
- Gabrielle Prisco, Debate Coach, University of Alabama under
the tutelage of Dr. Carrie Crenshaw. Winner of the 1999 Southeast Central
CEDA region Critic of the Year Award. Academic All-American debater for four
years at Vanderbilt University. Gabrielle says, "I believe that debate,
when it is at its best, is about advocacy and intelligence with a strong
focus on community. 'T' is not my fav. arg. but I will and have voted on
it. I love critiques and arguments that make me think but I can't stand
it when debaters (esp. in rebuttals) do nor clearly evaluate their version
of the debate versus their opponents ... and i have a dog who belongs in
the *&$#@* outback." Coached team into Semi-Finals of 2000 CEDA
Nationals.
- Jason Russell, Debate Coach, Michigan State University.
Coached one year and debated for three years at the University of Central
Oklahoma. Coached team into finals of both the 2000 CEDA Nationals and
2000 NDT, which has never happened before.
- Greg Simerly, Director of Debate, Idaho State
University. Coached National CEDA Champion and has had many teams in late
out rounds at CEDA Nationals.
- Monte Stevens, Debate Coach, Kansas State University. Debated
for the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Coached teams into out rounds
at CEDA Nationals, National Champion in Non-Policy Division, 2000 CEDA
Nationals.
- Jessica Wojtysiak, Debate Coach, Cornell University. Former
nationally competative debater at Cornell University. 4-time CEDA
nationals out-round competitor and NDT qualifier, East Region
Debater of the year and regional champ, 2 year CEDA student rep and
student member of topic commitee. Her favorite color is green, her
parents fight over her old debate trophies, she didn't debate in high
school and roses are a perfect way to bribe her.
