Community Service Award

Description
The recipient of this award will be a student who exemplifies servant leadership through
his or her community service. Community service may include volunteerism, public service, charitable, service, and leadership roles in student organizations. The recipient of the award must be in good standing with the university and have earned a minimum of 60 hours.

Application Process
The application process includes the Community Service application, an essay (not to exceed two typed, double spaced pages) that describes the circumstances that makes the person a strong candidate for the award, and two letters of support from MTSU or outside community.

Selection Process
Applications will be reviewed by the University Awards Committee and the top candidate will be selected. The award recipient will be recognized at the President's Celebration of Excellence.
