Waterworks Logo

WaterWorks! is an award winning state-wide public education and outreach program to promote clean water in Tennessee.  Funded by TDEC's Used Oil Program, WaterWorks! promotes individual responsibilty through "easy-to-learn and do" habits.

Components of the program include:

  • a website, www.tennesseewaterworks.com
  • public service messages through TAB stations
  • a statewide survey on citizen water quality attitudes and actions   
  • a listing of watershed groups in Tennessee
  • an interactive watershed map
  • tips page for homeowners
  • Tennessee’s beautiful water features (home page)
  • Links to other education & information resources

Since its beginning, WaterWorks! has relied on strong partnerships to spread the word about Tennessee water quality. Partners include TN Department of Environment and Conservation, TN Association of Broadcasters, Project WET (Water Education for Teachers), Tennessee Environmental Education Association, Cumberland River Compact, TVA and numerous universities, agencies and organizations.
