Nathan "Adan" Adam, Assistant Professor of Recording Industry, graduated Summa Cum Laude with his B.B.A in Information Systems and his M.B.A degrees from Pittsburg State University.

With a background in both educational and recording technology, Adan has worked as a freelance recording engineer and studio technology consultant for a number of recording artists and studios including Caravell Recording Studios, Hall of Fame Studios, Digital Planet and even the Hit Factory.

While working as a Studio Consultant for Sweetwater Sound, he equipped studios for recording artists such as Kid Rock, the Insane Clown Posse, Semisonic, Dennis Jernigan, and producers for artists including Reliant K, Sugar Ray, and Creed.


Prior to coming to MTSU, Adan worked as the head of the only Recording Industry department in the state of Kansas, designing, instructing and growing it from a small half room facility to a full service, 2 studio educational/ recording complex.

He also has over a decade of experience playing guitar, bass, drums, and keys with a variety of bands ranging from contemporary christian and pop, to psychadelic rock. He is a member of MEIEA, Lambda Sigma, Delta Mu Delta, and is actively involved with the school chapters of NSAI, AES, and SMPTE as well as the Alpha Omega group at MTSU.

He lives with his wife Jamie, their baby Araunah, and their pet chinchillas, Bebe & Nips.
