Dordena H. Rogel, Piano Teacher -  I honor Dordena Rogel as my mother and my first music teacher and piano teacher.   She taught me to sing in tune at the age of five, when she noticed I was struggling vocally.   She also began my piano instruction at that time and exhibited her wonderful patience and high musicianship as she nurtured me along the way.  I have many memories of her correcting me from the kitchen as I practiced.   I always wanted to have every young child begin piano study with her.   She was magical.  She kept teaching piano until the age of 82, at which time she had a state winner.  Amazing.  Thanks, Mom.
