I am sending this to honor a friend and colleague of many years who has meant so much to all of us. Years ago as I watched her working with a children's choir, she gave me new tools to train singers and continues to work in so many creative ways to continue the education of others. Her work with the International Vocal Ensemble opened up so many avenues for work in multicultural education. Her contributions to many music education textbooks and now a new book will have blessed young students and teachers. The vision that it took for Mary (Goetze) and Nancy (Boone Allsbrook) to design and manage the coloquium was such a blessing to those of us in college teaching. I also am grateful for her friendship of many years. I am just sorry I can't come to Mountain Lake this year and deliver this in person. Thank you Mary for all you do for all of us.
