Welcome to the first lecture of the on-line web course PHYS 2010! This first lecture is to serve basically three purposes. First, to let you get familiar with the general set-up that all of the lectures in this course will have. Second, this lecture will introduce you to the two systems of units that we will be using throughout this course, as well as to make sure that you are familiar with the metric-system prefixes which you will need to know for the remainder of this course. And last, this lecture will remind you of how to convert a value from one set of units to another. To get things started in the first lecture, just click on the Units & Conversions button at the upper-left. This will get you well on your way into your first semester of Algebra-based Physics!
