2005 Grass Dance Montage

    
Photographer James Nichols caught an especially nice series
of images of the Grass Dance as performed by Lakota Danny Garneaux.
In most Southern communities folks dance clockwise around the circle.
Danny dances counter-clockwise - not to be contrary -
but because that is his tradition.
We welcome all Nations at our Festival and hope to provide
a comfortable atmosphere for folks to feel free to express
their cultural traditions. Our arena directors are always present,
