Financial Peace

Russ Carroll, Lead Financial Counselor for Dave Ramsey’s Lampo Group, will be the keynote speaker for a financial peace workshop on Nov. 3, at MTSU.

The workshop will be held in the Tennessee Room of the James Union Building, Nov. 3, 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. There will be a drawing for several prizes including a complete Financial Peace study course.

Carroll has been a full-time financial counselor for 17 years. During that time he has counseled thousands of families in the basics of personal financial planning. He is also a workshop leader for Ramsey’s Financial Peace University, a seminar/support group designed to lead people to financial control and ultimately financial recovery.

The event is hosted by Alpha Kappa Psi business fraternity with co-sponsor Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Eric Fletcher, CEO of the MTSU Chapter of Alpha Kappa Psi, says the workshop is designed to help give financial empowerment to those who attend.

“People should attend with a ‘get out of debt’ mindset,” said Fletcher. “We want to encourage people to get out of debt and stop living paycheck to paycheck.”

The event is open to the public. Business casual attire is suggested. There is no admission charge, but participants are asked to RSVP via the Alpha Kappa Psi website, http://www.akpsimtsu.com/.
