| Connect 10
10.31 - 11.10 Connect 10! is an online for anyone and everyone to participate. We have a goal to raise $10k in a little over 10days from the end of October until the 10th of November. PSF @ MTSU has been part of helping more than 125 students connect faith to life just in the last 5 years alone. Students have found Connection with God, Community with others, and have been figuring out there Calling as they have been prepared uniquely by God during there time at MTSU and there participation at PSF. Each week during the Semester, students gather at PSF for community, worship, small group Bible study, and are given opportunities to serve in the community. PSF has been growing for a number of years, which has required expansion of staff and facilities during a time where the economy has been down or at best flat lined. While we have added property for significant future expansion, added an intern, and a financial secretary, there is still much expansion ahead. But first, we must get to a balanced budget as our saving which has funded much of the expansion for the last 3 5 years is now down to a critical point. Presbyteries and Synods have continued to fund Campus Ministry overall denominational support from the PC (USA) and Cumberland Presbyterian Church has remained right about the same while expenses have risen. Because of this we have a gap between Income and Expenses thatmust be bridged in order to continue a high level of ministry that is changing lives and growing leaders for now and for the future. Can you consider giving a small amount to PSF this year? Can your church consider increasing its contribution to PSF or having the church give to PSF for the first time? $300 covers the cost of 1 Thursday night experience, which basically gives a similar experience to what a local church provides on a Sunday morning. $125 helps supplement all of our events for a college student to be able to reasonably afford to participate. Even $10 is enough to provide for a lunch or coffee meeting with staff to meet with a student to get to know them, to help them figure out next steps, to listen and provide counsel, to connect them to PSF and to other students. Any and every gift can make a huge difference. Sometimes $10 provides for an enviroment that can be part of God changing and shaping the life of a college student in one critical conversation. We believe PSF is making difference on campus and in the lives of individual students and is helping create leadership for the future of the Church. Join us.
