Student Impact

PSF places a great emphasis on giving students the opportunity to make an impact on our world. Students can make an impact by being participating in serving our community. There are opportunities to serve in local churches in a variety of ways, to build relationships with people in a nearby health-care facility, and to go serve on mission projects. PSF offers at least one major mission project each year. These events have included helping a local housing community renovate apartments for homeless people to move into, as well as taking Spring Break to go and help others. Trips in the past have taken us to the Gulf Coast for hurricane relief and to an Indian Reservation in South Dakota to work with their youth,to work with the children of Leon, Nicaragua, and last Spring Break we worked with a ministry for the homeless in Chicago tutoring kids, renovating apartments, and getting to know those who find themselves homeless as the people they are, children of God.

Students can also make an impact by being part of our Student Activities Leadership Team (SALT) Growing out of this group students will have the opportunity to lead worship or a small group, plan and organize retreats, events, and mission projects, and provide valuable input to staff that will help determine the direction of our ministry.
