Selected Observations for Analysis and Reflection
Department of Elementary and Special Education

The SOAR Experience will accelerate the pre-service candidate's understanding of the expected learning outcomes for Interdisciplinary Studies.
SOAR
-
SOAR is a Field Experience where pre-service candidates spend time in a classroom setting four full days.
-
This is a prerequisite for Interdisciplinary Majors entering ELED 3050/3070.
-
The purpose of SOAR is for pre-service candidates to experience a "real" classroom setting.
-
This "real" experience gives pre-service candidates the opportunity to reflect and analyze issues that relate to teaching and learning.
-
It serves as a foundation for the course Creating Learning Environments: ELED 3050/3070.
