Poster Guidelines
Poster Preparation
There are three plotters available on campus for researchers to use for printing posters:
- Engineering Technology has two plotters available for all CBAS faculty and students. One is in Voorhies (VIS) and one is in Midgett (MGB). It is important to follow the instructions at the link below:
Information on Access to Plotters in VIS 118 and MGB 201
- The McNair Scholars Program, located in Midgett 103, also has a plotter available for undergraduates. We ask that you print sometime during the weeks of March 23rd and March 30th, 2009, and it would be helpful to set an appointment for a M-F, 8:30am to 4pm timeframe. You can call Cindy Howell at 904-8462 to set an appointment.
Posterboards:
Please reuse cardboard trifolds from previous presentations – a few new ones are available and can be picked up from the Undergraduate Research Center (duszynsk@mtsu.edu, 494-7666) at Ingram building 123A.
Poster Set-Up
Please set up your poster between 8:30 am-11:30 am on Friday, April 3 in the northeast side of the Murphy Center Track area. Posters numbers will be taped to the tables. Multimedia and center presentations will be located along the wall. Please find your numbered table based on your pre-identified abstract number (Note that the abstract numbers correspond to the page number, not the number on the page).
The abstract list will be available online after March 16th at:
http://frank.mtsu.edu/~research/scholarsweek.html
Poster Guidelines
The table space for each poster will be approximately 1.5 feet x 3 feet. Please accommodate these dimensions with your poster material. Posters must be trifold and self-standing on the 6 foot table (no mounting boards will be available on site). Presenters requiring a trifold posterboard may obtain a standard cardboard black posterboard (only size and color available) from your Dean’s Office or contact Dr. Wasimuddin Qureshi in the Office of Research Services for more information (x5005).
Refreshments will be provided during the poster sessions for presenters and visitors.
A free t-shirt is available to all student authors.
Thank you for being an active participant in Scholars Week!
