Gaming Consoles and University Networking

Connecting your Console

Devices such as PS2s and XBoxes need to be set up properly before they will work on the University's Residential Network. All devices should be set to use DHCP to get their network address. If you have questions about your device's settings, refer to your manual or call the manufacturer's help desk.

In order to connect to the network, please send an email to Steven Clippard, clippard@mtsu.edu stating your name, your dorm and room number, a phone number at which you can be reached, and the MAC address of your console.

If you don't know how to attain your console's MAC address, please consult the following websites:

XBox Registration

PS2 Registration

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the computer lab RD:

Nic Haynes: nah2t@mtsu.edu
