Journal Club Guidelines
This assignment is designed to give you practice organizing and presenting scientific material to an audience of your peers. Choose a scientific article on human genetics from a peer-reviewed journal that is less than one year old. You must give me a copy of your article at least one week in advance so that it can be distributed to the other students to read. You have 50 minutes to explain the main points of the article using the figures within the article. You do not have to use every figure in the article. Also, you may use additional figures from other articles or reviews for background or to supplement your point. Although, be sure to cite any other sources you use.
Undergraduate students are expected to work in pairs for this assignment. Both members of the team are expected to contribute to both preparation and presentation. Graduate students will work alone for this assignment.
