The Digital Animation Lab at M.T.S.U. is equipped with Silicon Graphics
Octane and Origin 200 computers. We are
currently using Alias/Wavefront's Maya and Composer.
We also have installed NT machines from Intergraph, that are loaded with
Lightwave, 3D Studio Max, Adobe Photoshop, After Effects, and Premiere.
Output of work can be recorded to a DiskCovery Digital Disk Recorders and
then to VHS, S-VHS, Hi8mm, Beta SP, or DVCAM.
In addition, the lab has various models of Macintosh computers using Adobe
Photoshop, Pagemaker, Premiere, HyperCard, and other software.
Additional hardware includes; Video Digitizer, Color Flatbed and Film
scanners, and Polaroid Film Recorder.
All of the computers are networked locally, to the Department of Recording Industry's
Midi Lab, the campus backbone, and to the Internet.
