Wynnifred
Counts is beginning her eighteenth year with the Enhancement
Center currently serving as Associate Director. Prior to joining
the center staff Counts taught school in the Bedford County
School System. She earned both her B.S. and Masters Degree
from Middle Tennessee. She initiated the tutorial program
and the life skills program and has been an adjunct faculty
for the past fourteen years. Wynnifred is the academic counselor
for men’s and women’s basketball, baseball, softball
and coordinates the Champs Lifeskills program.

Debbie
Carroll has been an Athletic Academic Counselor with the SAEC
from January 2005 to present. She has a M.A. in Clinical Psychology
and a B.S. in Psychology from Middle Tennessee State University.
Prior to joining the staff in the SAEC, she was an Academic
Advisor with MTSU’s Academic Support Center. In addition
to her duties for the SAEC, Ms. Carroll is an adjunct faculty
member for University Seminar and the Freshman Summer Institute
Academy. Debbie is the academic counselor for volleyball,
soccer, men’s and women’s track. |

Shirley
has been a member of the MTSU community for 18 years. She
began her serves in the office of the Student-Athlete Enhancement
Center in December 2005. Prior to joining the center staff
she was employed in the health and Human performance Department. |

Angel
Nathan

Nathan
joined the enhancement center staff in June 2007 and serves
in the role of assistant Director. Prior to joining the Enhancement
Center staff angel was with Florida International University
as an academic coordinator for the sports of men’s and
women’s track and men’s and women’s basketball.
Angel is a graduate of the University of Georgia and intern
in academic center while completing are masters at Georgia.
She is a current member of the National Association of Academic
Advisors for Athletes. Nathan serves as the academic counselor
for freshmen football, men’s and women’s tennis,
and directs the tutorial program. |
